High Mountains. Great moments in Tyrol.

Glacier and ski resort Kaunertal and Fendels in Tyrol.

I visited Zurich for work last week and since my brother lives 1 hour away I surprised him and his family.

Being the godmother of my niece Sunny who loves travel and adventures just like auntie, I have to fulfill my obligations now and than and teach the next generation the last steps of how to ski before to go on a ski holiday trip with school.

I joined my brother and his girls to Kaunertal for 2 days before going back on the road.

Kaunertal is one of Tyrol’s most picturesque holiday region.

I stayed in a family owned hotel in a little village called Feichten, where we had adventures all day and night long. When skiing during the day wasn’t enough, we went floodlight skiing, night sledding, enjoyed the Spa and swim facilities of Feichten’s new indoor swimming pool until 10pm.

Fendels is a contemplative holiday paradise away from the main tourist crowds which is 1,356m above sea level and has 14 km of slopes with family-friendly as well as demanding descents for you.

We had almost the whole area for our self since most of the people and tourists go to the glacier for skiing were you can take the chairlift up to the mountain top  3,518m high (Weisseespitze) & 3,712m (Weisskugel)

Other exciting ski areas in the neighborhood are St Anton am Arlberg, Ischgl, Miss Sölden, Tuxx and more. For Tax Free shopping you can stop in Samnaun a beautiful little city and yummy food.
